This is a serving tray set by Morita Kiyoteru, a renowned undercoat craftsman of Echizen lacquerware. The soft texture of the Japanese paper applied underneath brings out a new charm of lacquer. The matte texture, unusual for lacquer, enhances the appeal of the chic black and gold coloring.

It can be used as a plate by placing appetizers or desserts on it, or as a tray by setting small plates, bowls, ochoko sake cups, and flower vases. It is recommended not only for everyday dining, but also for celebratory occasions.
