This Japanese sake cup features gold decorations, using a porcelain base preserved as vintage stock at Kinzan kiln. The pattern drawn using the technique called kanemori shines even more when you pour sake.

It is handcrafted by Kinzan Kiln, especially excelling in kinsai, one of the famous Kutani ware's glazing techniques with gold leaf.

In order to make the best products, Kinzan Kiln designs the shape of the porcelain and grinds the gold powder used for the products by themselves. The Shugu series was also created after many discussions with Yoshida Moritaka, the product designer who actually made the molds, to create a beautiful shape that is easy to hold.
