The Kyoto Vegetables Medium Bowl features a vegetable motif inspired by Kyoto produce, with variations including Kamo eggplant, Manganji pepper, and Shogoin radish. Rendered in the blue and white of sometsuke with gosu pigment, the hand-painted lines give form and expression to vegetables long familiar in Kyoto.

The softly undulating rim creates a natural grip, while the changing height softens the profile. Its depth lends itself to simmered dishes, chilled sides, fruit, or small servings brought to the table. While crafted in stoneware, it lifts with unexpected ease. 

Blue washes continue onto the exterior, moving across the cream-white clay body. Fine crackles emerging over time gradually become traces of continued use.
