White Kagome Washi Paper Place Mats

Kagome refers to the net of a basket woven of bamboo or rattan, or its continuous latticework of braids. There are various types of braids with different patterns depending on the intended use. Rakusui is a traditional technique to make a pattern on washi paper by dropping water. The technique of making a double-layered paper by applying another sheet of washi on the back of the Rakusui paper is called "Sukiawase".
