This rice bowl is handmade by Yamanaka lacquerware craftsmen with a wipe lacquer finish that brings out the beautiful grain of cherry wood. Perfect size as a rice bowl for serving an average portion of rice.

It is made by craftsmen in a thin and beautiful form, and is light and easy to hold. In addition, wooden bowls are excellent at retaining heat because the heat transfer is gentle, so the outside is not hot even when hot rice is served in them.

The lacquer is applied in a "Fuki-Urushi" (wiped lacquer) finish, in which the lacquer is applied and wiped repeatedly to make the best use of the grain of the wood. It is glossy and transparent, giving a soft and elegant impression. Its traditional design is suitable for long-term use, daily use or when entertaining guests.
