Tales of a Century Indigo Blue Chirori Sake Carafe

This copper chirori sake carafe features graceful curves and a deep blue hue. This product is an enhanced version of a standard product from Seigado, the metalwork studio in Niigata Prefecture.

After melting copper into a sheet form, it is hammered into shape using the hammering technique called tsuiki, making the piece seamless.

This product is part of a project launched by Niigata Prefecture under the theme of "Tales of a Century," products to be used for the next 100 years. It is created by an outside designer and aims to coexist with the warmth of craftsmanship and sophisticated design.

It is suitable for heating sake by dipping it in a pot filled with hot water. The good thermal conductivity of metal allows it to warm up quickly, and it also makes cold sake look cool and refreshing. Please be careful when holding the handle after warming it up.

The handle is wrapped with a wisteria vine, so it can also be used for heating sake.
