This 12 fl oz (350 ml) tin-lined chirori sake carafe from Seigado is entirely handcrafted by skilled artisans, who hammer the copper into a refined, sculptural silhouette with a quietly luxurious presence. Its graceful profile and carefully considered proportions give the piece an elegant, well-resolved design that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary.

The body is shaped from copper and fully lined with tin, giving the interior a gentle, subdued surface for the sake it holds. The pattern on the surface is created by masking to leave the underlying copper exposed, then developing a dark brown tone through sulfurization. A coating is applied to the surface once the piece is finished. 

Each piece features a unique pattern, with the artisan bringing out the metal’s natural hues through careful metalwork. The result is a subtle, understated tone: a design that feels clean, composed, and intentionally restrained.
